Denis George manages The Kroger Co.’s renewable energy acquisition, gas and electricity contracts, utility agreements, regulatory intervention and related matters. From 1998 to 2016, Denis served as Kroger’s Corporate Manager – Energy with responsibilities that also included energy efficiency initiatives, carbon footprint calculations, mechanical system design and ENERGY STAR® program compliance. During that time, Kroger received numerous national and regional awards for energy efficiency and sustainability, including the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award (twice), the Alliance to Save Energy’s top award – the Galaxy Star of Energy Efficiency and an Award of Excellence from Platt’s Publications.
John Frank is Duke Energy Sustainable Solutions’ key segment manager for the retail/distribution e-com and logistics segments. He focuses on the e-commerce and OFC/DC market, with particular attention in sub-segments of grocery, logistics, food service distribution and third-party logistics (3PL). John applies his diverse career of energy experience to collaborate with customers and identify the right solution, whether on-site resiliency power generation, advanced energy technology platforms, electric vehicles or renewables.
