Available Now: New York Community Solar

Shine with your community and save on energy
Our National Grid community solar sites in Argyle and Heuvelton, N.Y. are coming online this summer, and you now have a limited-time opportunity to join the project as an anchor tenant!
If your large commercial business has high annual energy usage (at least 500,000 kWh/year), you don’t want to miss out on this opportunity to save money on your utility bill, expand access to renewable energy in your community and show you’re committed to a sustainable future.
Fill out the form on the right, and one of our energy advisors will contact you to talk about how community solar can help you make the transition to renewables while making an economic, environmental and social impact in your community.
*This program is only available for utility customers in the New York National Grid utility service territory.

What to Expect as an Anchor Tenant
Community solar lets anchor tenants take part in solar power generation without the complications and upfront cost of installing solar panels on their property. In doing so, anchor tenants are helping to bring solar energy to communities that haven’t traditionally had access — all while saving on their utility bill.
It’s simple:
- Duke Energy Sustainable Solutions will own, operate and manage solar projects at three off-site locations in the National Grid utility service area.
- Forty percent of each project’s solar production is reserved for a small number of anchor tenants. As an anchor tenant, you’ll subscribe to solar energy produced and save on your energy costs.
- The remaining 60% of energy will be reserved for small businesses and local residents, who will also receive credits on their utility bill for energy produced.
And with these projects coming online in just a few months, you don’t have to wait years to see savings. Just start your subscription and we’ll handle the rest.
This is a limited-time opportunity and there is only space for a small number of anchor tenants. Don’t miss this opportunity to help your organization lower costs, reduce risks and better reach its sustainability goals.
01
Energy savings
As an anchor tenant, you don’t have to worry about upfront investment. And since your utility can directly credit you for energy supplied to the grid, you’ll see savings on energy costs.
02
No maintenance required
We’ll install, own, operate and manage the solar at an off-site location. That means there’s no impact to your operations or facilities and your team will never have to worry about operating or maintaining the equipment.
03
Make a difference in your community
By anchoring a project, you’ll bring solar to communities that haven’t traditionally had access. It’s a great opportunity for you to make an environmental impact while showing dedication to your community’s future.
